The Bradbury Building

Prior to visiting, my friend told me about how the movie 500 Days of Summer was shot at this historical landmark. It is also known for its appearance in Blade Runner.

Due to the fact that the building is occupied by LAPD, visitors are only allowed on the first two floors of the building, up to the stairs area that says LAPD only.

It is impressive to recognize that most of the building was preserved in the 20th century and it looks well polished.

The refined marble floor looks gorgeous as it may have looked in the 1970's when the building was first constructed.

According to architecture experts, the distinctive brown sandstone and Terra Cotta captures the essence of the Italian Renaissance and features large plated-glass windows that allows natural light to come right in.

Its geometric patterned staircases was created and imported from France, which had a mesmerizing degree of symmetry and visual complexity.

I would highly recommend to check this place out. Just remember, it closes at 5pm!
