Ralph Breaks The Internet Review

This movie was un-bee-lievable! That’s right, get ready for the bee puns! Just like the first movie was full of references you’ll remember from your favorite old games, Ralph Breaks the Internet brings back some of the best parts of the internet, cat videos. Before we get to there, we have to start at the beginning of the story.
Vanellope and Ralph are the best of friends, but do they really want the same things? When the next great game, WiFi, is plugged up in the arcade, everyone is noticeably excited, but none more than Vanellope. She begins to realize she wants something different in her life. Ralph hopes to put his hero title to the test by making Vanellope a new track for her game. Vanellope tries to override the player’s wishes and they snap the wheel off the game.
After the kids in the arcade find the wheel on eBay, Vanellope and Ralph take a journey to the internet! The studio brought the internet to life complete with buildings for the major websites, avatars for internet users, and even pop-ups. One of the greatest parts of the world they build was the realistic way the avatars in Slaughter Race moved. Typically, avatars have a very choppy moving technique and, while the regular storyline characters moved fluidly, the avatars of the players jumped move like Grand Theft Auto than Fast and the Furious.
Like most movies made for children released recently, Ralph Breaks the Internet gives the adults in the audience plenty to laugh about. From references to movies released in our childhood to jokes about parenting, I couldn’t stop laughing throughout. The Disney Princess scene received laughs from the kids and the adults.
It wasn’t all laughs though. Ralph and Vanellope put their friendship to the test. They both want something different out of life, similar to when a child decides to finally leave the home. The heartbreaking scene when Ralph finally realizes he needs to let Vanellope go, brought me to tears.
If you’re looking for a movie guaranteed to make you laugh, potentially cry, and give you more reasons to want the Disney Princesses’ wardrobes, go see Ralph Break the Internet. The best part is you can use the internet to buy your ticket!
