The Pumpkin Nights Festival took place at the Pomona Fairplex and first led families and customers to an area to purchase food and drinks- including an odd but not bad pumpkin spice lemonade by Hot Dog on a Stick stand. There was also a small pumpkin patch with merchandise of Pumpkin nights for sale, next to a face painting set up. To complete the more kid friendly area, there were also bounce castles and photo oops with pumpkins lit with different colors.

Leaving that, an archway filled top to bottom, side to side with illuminated pumpkins leads visitors on the beginning of the walkway wonderland that is Pumpkin Nights. The vast expanse of land offers numerous different worlds and area. Some areas include Dia de Los Muertos, under the sea, Japanese garden, a camp kid zone, and more all filled and completely decorated with pumpkins.

The first zone includes a bridge over water where a skeletal woman fire breathes and swings around an umbrella on fire and then numb chucks that are also aflame. Following the walkway, there is also a giant pumpkin spider and web both light up and then a whole walkway with illuminated pumpkins hanging above crowd goers where a live owl is at the end for photo ops.

Next is the impressive Japanese garden portion with pumpkin lanterns hung everywhere and a ridiculously long Japanese dragon made fully from pumpkins spans the whole lake area.

Following that is pirate ships, pirates, and a whole field of different lit up pumpkin sea life, complete with a giant pumpkin octopus.

Next is the kid zone which features a low reach tether-ball, wood bench and screening of Coco, and teeter totters.

Lastly is the Dia de Los Muertos section honoring Day of the Dead and Latinx culture with an ofrenda setup with pumpkins carved in the designs typically seen on sugar skulls. The path up to the ofrenda is also a string of similarly designed pumpkins.
